How a Camera Can Change the World: The 2030Photojournalism Project
Paris, France, July 2023 — A collaboration between Spain and France is putting cameras in the hands of young people and using photography to spark real social change.
Under the Erasmus+ programme, Misiones Salesianas (Spain) and Don Bosco Intuition Entertainers Media (France) joined forces on the 2030Photojournalism project, running from April 2022 to August 2023.
Project Mission
The project aimed to teach young people how a single photograph can shift public awareness and drive positive transformation within communities.

Workshop Activities
In May 2023, DBIEM trainers visited the Ecole de Vie Don Bosco in Paris for a full-day workshop focused on camera techniques, group discussions, and field photography.
A second workshop followed in July 2023 in partnership with Centre Ken Saro-Wiwa, where students and ACP volunteers explored visual storytelling through practical field assignments and collaborative discussions.
Photo Exhibition
The project culminated on 9 July 2023 with a public dissemination event at Église Saint-Jean-Bosco. More than 100 attendees viewed a photo exhibition showcasing participants' work and engaged in discussions around the project’s themes.

Evaluation & Future Improvements
The evaluation highlighted strong collaboration and excellent educational resources as major strengths. Communication and follow-up between coordinators were identified as areas for improvement, with regular cross-partner meetings recommended for future projects.
